Free Movers

You can study at the University of Belgrade for a maximum of one academic year without participating in a specific exchange/mobility program and even if your home university does not have an official exchange agreement with UB.

As a free mover, the candidate must be eligible and fulfill the necessary prerequisites for the study program they wish to attend at the University of Belgrade for one or two semesters in total. Additionally, they must fulfill language requirements of the chosen study program.

The relevant office of the home university (International Relations Office, Global Studies Office, Mobility Office, etc.) must officially confirm that the student’s planned mobility stay at the University of Belgrade will be accepted as an official part of the student’s home degree program.

In order to attend the University of Belgrade as a free mover, a student will need to have their mobility agreement and learning agreement signed before the start of the exchange program at the University of Belgrade.

Documents required for application

Candidates for this type of mobility will need to submit an application including the following documents:
- transcript of records
- diplomas of previous studies completed (bachelor or master)
- enrollment confirmation from the IUS
- CV
- passport scan
- photo
- Specific faculty of the University of Belgrade may ask additional documents

In addition, these documents and the application must be sent to the University of Belgrade by the central International Relations Office (or a similar service in charge of IR and mobility) of the candidate’s home university.

Administrative Fee: Please note that the University of Belgrade charges the administrative fee in the amount of 100,00 EUR in Serbian Dinars to the account of the University of Belgrade. The fee is payable upon arrival to Serbia and according to the instructions provided by the International Relations Office of the host University.

Important: Please note that this type of mobility does not lead to obtaining a degree from the University of Belgrade, only the transcript of records listing all successfully passed exams.
