STUDY IN BELGRADE
All incoming students and staff should purchase health insurance before the start of the mobility period, for the entire duration of their stay in Serbia, and bring a copy of the insurance policy along when they come on mobility. Foreign students and staff do have the obligation to enter the Republic of Serbia with a valid European Health Insurance Card or other Health Insurance policy (bringing from their home country) for the whole period of stay in Serbia.
Health insurance for all mobility goers is mandatory. However, candidates should check whether the health insurance has been provided according to the either the specific type of cooperation under which the mobility is arranged, or on the basis of international agreement on health insurance signed between Serbia and the respective partner country.
In some cases, foreign citizens exercise their right to urgent medical care based on certain forms (if such have been prescribed), European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) or on the basis of a document proving their insurance coverage in their home country.
Citizens of the following countries exercise their right to urgent medical care on the basis of a prescribed form: Luxembourg (Certificate LUX/SRB-111), Belgium (Certificate BE/SRB 111), Netherlands (Certificate N/Y-111), Italy (Certificate: IT-7), France (Certificate: SE-21-03A and SE-21-04A), Montenegro (Certificate MNE/SRB-111), Bosnia and Herzegovina (BIH/SRB-111), Macedonia (certificate: RM/SRB 111), Romania (certificate: Y/R 11) and Turkey (TR/SRB 111).
Citizens of the following countries exercise their right to urgent medical care based on the European Health Insurance Card: Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Germany, Slovakia, Slovenia and the Czech Republic.
Citizens of Poland and Great Britain exercise their right to urgent medical care based on the certificate of insurance issued in their home country.
